'Napa Valley' - Asiatic Hybrid Lily Bulb
Lily Bulb Description
Flower Description: Bred by Johan Mak of Scio, Oregon, ‘Napa Valley’ the second in his “valley” series of predominately pendant or down facing type lilies being introduced by B & D Lilies for 2010. Reminding us of heavy clusters of Napa Valley wine grapes, planted in groups of 6, these are a sight to behold. Neat and tidy reflexed blooms are large in size compared to most pendant types, they are a bright clear pink and blend to lighter tones in the flower center. With just the right amount of spots for contrast and with oh, so many buds on each stem, this is a real winner.
Even the buds are attractive, green with a hint of pink teasing you with their beauty as you await their opening. In competition, this is sure to be a show winner and has been selected as one of the Garden Clubs of Virginia competition varieties for 2011. A strong grower with a very sturdy stem that needs no staking. 4 feet or taller. June Flowering. Unscented.
Bulb Size - Our standard for bulbs of this lily cultivar ranges from Premium-size" (16/18 cm) to Exhibition-size" (over 20 cm). Click
