'Bacardi' - Oriental Hybrid Lily

The favorite rum of Ernest Hemingway when ordering daiquiris, Lilium 'Bacardi' opens a deep maraschino red, with each blossom becoming just a bit more intense in color with the passing of the day. The bright grapefruit-colored star in the center is a perfect compliment for the alluring fragrance and sturdy nature of this lily. We love how well the buds color up before opening, making a lovely candelabra effect, for extended color in your garden. A late July bloomer, try planting 'Bacardi' with white flowering varieties such as ‘Crystal Blanca’, Silverside’, or if you want a “Double Papa Doble”, also add ‘Angela’ to your garden cocktail for a real sensual treat.
