Lily Bulb Description
Classification: Orienpet Hybrid Lily Bulb (USDA Zones 5-9, colder climates w/winter mulch.)
Named for the famed Romanian artist Constantin Brancusi, he was considered a pioneer in modernism and was known as the patriarch of modern sculptor. The look and form of 'Brancusi' the lily, as with Frontera, brings us even more closely to an Oriental appearing Orienpet, thus one of the pioneers leading to the beloved Oriental form while having the stamina of an Orienpet. The lily 'Brancusi' is also far more affordable than the millions you could expect to pay for and original Brancusi sculpture.
These soft, medium pink out to upfacing flowers almost shimmer in the garden. Set up with the exquisite white pencil line edges, the fragrance is beyond compare. Even the leaves of this breakthrough wonder have the appearance of being a true Oriental. In the field they average 3 to 4 feet, but left alone in the garden, and being fed as part of its care, it could very well reach 5+ feet. A mid July to early August bloomer. And fragrance? Oh Yes!
