'El Condor' - Longiflorum-Oriental Hybrid Lily
Lily Bulb Description
Flower Description: This lily bulb's thick petaled, medium to dark raspberry, perfectly formed blooms show off it's Lilium longiflorum breeding to perfection. Notice the elongated buds, just like an Easter Lily? (Where the flower attached to the stem, you can see the trumpet shape.) This is a "showpiece" lily, a most stunning addition to the garden with its lovely color and delightful fragrance. 4 to 5 Feet. July Flowering. Fragrant.
From San Diego: I looked out my kitchen window this morning and asked myself what could the deep raspberry bloom with white edges possible be? El Condor is not as purple as it is in your pictures, but it is wonderfully dramatic! Note from Bob. 'El Condor' has shown a great deal of variance in color in different regions. One report and photo from South Carolina showed soft pink centers with the outer 1/2 of the petals being white. The customers comment was "nothing could be more beautiful". From the North East, it bloomed as a red-purple.
